John Wright bought his first film camera in junior high. Like an artist that employs pencil and paper, paints and a canvas, John used his camera like a brush to create images that stir up emotions as well as stimulate the mind. Photojournalism, lifestyle and fashion photography are the styles he incorporates largely when photographing a wedding.
John considers wedding photography as a way of life. Unlike most wedding photographers who use wedding photography as just a way to earn a dollar, he finds more satisfaction in capturing that perfect image that conveys the message either he or his clients are looking for. While knowledgeable with the technical aspects of wedding photography, John is not afraid to break rules to push the envelope.
John is the friend, fellow colleague, and second shooter alongside principal wedding photographer Jessica Fraser. Being second shooter by no means indicates any lack of knowledge as his experience and passion in all things wedding photography allows him to stand out as his own wedding photographer.
Based in Chula Vista, John has worked with clients from throughout San Diego, including Coronado, La Jolla and Temecula. Though partial to San Diego, he would be happy to travel to Orange County to meet new and interesting people and to capture their treasured moments.
